Meeru Dhalwala

Meeru Dhalwala is a cookbook author and co-owner/chef of Vij’s Restaurant in Vancouver, B.C. Meeru is also founder of the newly launched My Bambiri baby/toddler foods. She is very active in B.C. agriculture and was a board member of Vancouver Farmers’ Markets for six years. She is currently a member of the Advisory Board of UBC’s Faculty of Food and Land Systems. Meeru holds honorary doctorates from UBC and SFU for her professional and community work in food, sustainable agriculture and multiculturalism.

Diana Chan

Diana started Foodology.ca, a Canadian food and travel blog based in Vancouver, in 2010 to share her love of the west coast with the world. Since the pandemic, she’s been focused on supporting local small businesses and food producers. When Diana’s not thinking about food, she is a mother to baby E and a digital designer at Vancity Credit Union.

Eve Laird

Eve has been working on her cracker dream since 2016 when she launched Eve’s Crackers at the Whistler Farmers’ Market. She is originally from Nanaimo but now lives in lovely Squamish. When she isn’t working at Eve’s Crackers you can find her trail running, skiing her favourite mogul line, or trying a healthy new recipe. Eve has a passion for connecting with new food industry entrepreneurs and being a sounding board as they navigate the overwhelming world of starting a business.

Hong Sy

Hong is a researcher with the BCIT Natural Health and Foods Products Research Group. With over a decade worth of food industry experience, Hong has focused her time in the fields of food safety and product research and development. She is passionate about food and enjoys working with clients to aid in their journey to product commercialization.
