From the Ground Up is hosting a day-long interactive Conference for all B.C. food and beverage processors!

The focus of the conference this year centers on business growth and multiple market channel strategies. There will be three moderated panels with experts from the industry followed by a Q&A with attendees. The day will finish with an inspirational talk from co-owner of Planted Expo, Stevan Mirkovich.

Conference Outline:

This event provides a space for expanded learning through dialogue and discussion. The day will include:

830am – 930am: Check-In

930am – 10am: Introductions

10am – 11am: Market Channels – Think Outside the Box: Hear from a panel of representatives from alternate market channels that should be included in your sales strategy. For example, international, online, food service, and more!

11am – 11:30: Coffee Break

11:30am – 12:30pm: Level Up Your Sales: Look at the future of your food business and plan for expansion! Hear from a broker, distributor, growing manufacturer, and retailer on how to grow your sales.

Facilitator: Jordan Rogers – Founder, Sales Director, The Very Good Food Company and Founder, Lloyd-James Group Inc.


12:30pm – 1pm: Lunch

1pm – 2pm: Institutional Food Service: Learn about this exciting potential opportunity to sell your products to Post-Secondary Institutions and other government institutions.

COVID-19 Protocol for Conference:

The Conference will be following the Health Order announced on August 23, 2021 requiring all attendees to provide proof of first vaccination by September 13, 2021 to enter the Conference at the Hastings Room on September 14, 2021.
